Abstract:
We propose a procedure for the cryptanalysis of the classic M-209 machine. In contrast to various other approaches we use exact Boolean methods for this purpose. This gives us the opportunity to crack the code unumbigously with the knowledge of only a few hundred known plain-/ciphertext bits.
